Bedruthan is a multi-award winning hotel and spa set into a cliff above Mawgan Porth Beach on the North Cornwall coast.

Bedruthan is set in a natural playground with the beach just below us and some amazing facilities at the hotel itself. You can stroll along the foreshore, get a surf lesson or two and walk the cliff path to Bedruthan Steps – one of the north coast’s most dramatic beauty spots.

Then you’re the person we need!

Santa Claus has been a figure of popular culture since the mid 1700’s and you’ll be responsible for keeping the magic alive. You’ll need to be able to work a crowd of festive fun goers, let out some big Ho Ho Ho’s and captivate the children into believing in Santa Claus. 

We’re looking for someone to encapsulate the character of Santa Claus this Christmas at Bedruthan Hotel’s renowned Sugar and Spice Grotto. 

Your duties as Christmas Grotto Santa Claus will include:

• Wearing a beautifully tailored custom Santa suit
• Being jolly and never breaking character
• Keeping the spirit of Christmas alive
• Being warm and welcoming, dynamic, quick thinking and adaptable 
• To be entertaining, engaging and sensational

Some background in acting, drama or performing would be advantageous and being able to improvise and think on the spot – you never know what children might ask Santa for this year!

Preferable attributes include enjoying mince pies, not having a fear of flying and previous reindeer handling experience. This is not essential though as full training will be given.

We offer:

• £10.00 per hour 
• Seasonal contract from 18 November 2019 to 5 January 2020
