At BEUMER Group, we support airports and distribution centres worldwide, making sure that the right suitcase or package reaches the right person – every time.

You will join 10 colleagues in Sales & System Support dedicated to designing expansions and upgrades for our customers’ current systems. We work with a wide range of different technologies from conveyor belts with PLC software, electrical installation and barcode scanners to complex SW solutions and server set-ups to enable automation, larger capacity and many other needs our clients may have. 

Translate customer needs into the right solutions
You will be system responsible for the mechanical, electrical and controlling parts of the systems. As such, you will analyse needs and specifications to draft the right solutions and implementation plans which are then executed by our project department. 

Our customers depend on their existing systems every day, so you need to create solutions that can be implemented quickly and efficiently. This calls for all your creativity as no two systems are the same – after all, we have been delivering installations since the ‘80s,” explains Michael Christens, Head of Sales & System Support. 

In detail, you will:

  • Analyse specifications from our service managers or directly from the customers 
  • Design the solutions and implementation plans
  • Perform price calculations and prepare quotations and documentation on the selected solutions
  • Communicate with internal specialists to obtain the necessary knowledge and ensure the ideal solutions for the customers

Once you are well situated in your position, you will start travelling to partake in customer meetings in order to gain insight on customer needs and to present your designs. You will travel all over the world – together with our sales managers – a maximum of 40 days per year and often for a few days at a time. We are of course flexible, and you have the freedom to plan your trips together with us to ensure the best possible work-life balance.

Experienced engineer or a recent graduate eager to learn
At BEUMER Group, we know talent when we see it. Whether you have relevant experience or are a recent graduate, we want to hear from you. It is however essential that you have technical know-how and an innate curiosity that drives you to dig deep into the smallest details and functions of different technologies. 

Additionally, you:

  • Have a degree in technology management and marine engineering, mechanical engineering, global business engineering, machine engineering or similar
  • Have a solid technical and commercial understanding
  • Speak and write English fluently
  • May have experience in 3D CAD tools, e.g. AutoCad – it is not a requirement
