Job Description

Position Purpose

The Retirement Plan Consultant delivers personalized consultations detailing solutions best suited to the retirement planning needs of our prospects. The RPC utilizes a detailed knowledge of retirement products and the unique needs of small businesses to meet all assigned revenue targets. The successful RPC likes helping clients achieve their retirement goals, is a self-starter with excellent organizational skills and has a competitive personality. Must be upbeat, ambitious and enjoy a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include both inbound and outbound calls and require excellent follow through with those they are assisting. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Consistently achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual plan goals.
  • Develop strategies for product positioning and sales opportunities for new clients and new referral sources via the telephone, email campaigns and in person.
  • Provide compelling sales presentations through mastery of PowerPoint, Prezi, Word, Excel, Zoom, etc.
  • Exhibit deep knowledge of our products to successfully match the right product with the prospect’s needs as well as educate and answer all questions during the sales process.
  • Efficiently build and manage a productive sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and relationship management.
  • Utilize CRM tool (SalesForce) in accordance with organizational requirements.
  • Work effectively with internal partners to ensure the optimal client experience.
  • Work with internal and external partners and departments to ensure we are helping our clients achieve their retirement objectives.
  • Stay informed on retirement industry trends and legislation.
  • Actively participate in industry conferences as appropriate

Qualifications

Skills + Experience

  • Demonstrated record of sales success
  • Competitive, driven, team player
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • 3+ years of experience selling financial products, preferably retirement products
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Prepared and comfortable with working remotely
  • Minimal travel required
