Job Description

Our friendly and talented Kitchen Team take pride in providing a fantastic Scarlet food experience for our guests. We use seasonal and local produce presented in a modern European style which shows technical skill that is natural and creative alongside natural wines, artisan and locally produced spirits, beer, ale, cider and soft drinks.

The position of Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Porter involves the operation of dishwasher machines, hand washing of cooking equipment, the checking and storing of food deliveries as well as the cleaning of our state-of-the-art induction kitchen to a high standard. Duties will also include work outside of the kitchen as part of the wider hotel team.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is organised, efficient and conscientious, who has an eye for detail and shows initiative. A “can do attitude” is essential as nothing should ever be too much trouble for our guests or for each other.  

Excellent English verbal and written skills are necessary.

Additional Information

We offer:

  • £8.25-£8.50 per hour includes probationary rate
  • Equates to £19,305-£19,890 per year
  • Subsidised transport service between Newquay and Mawgan Porth £1 per journey
  • Temporary live-in accommodation, subject to availability
