Water Management is seeking a strong accountant to lead our accounting team, now that our veteran accountant is riding off into retirement.  We are a $7M well-established company with 45 employees working on water efficiency projects across the country.  We are headquartered in Alexandria, VA, with a second office in Franklin, TN.  We are looking for an experienced accountant to get to know our ownership team and accounting team, and work together to enhance the success of the company and the employees.  Our mission is to be the leader in water efficiency — and you can help us get there!

Most desirable is a hands-on understanding of a mid-sized service company with a family atmosphere (and the benefits and hurdles that go along with a family business). We would also like applicants with proven experience in day-to-day accounting including cash management, accounting software administration, overseeing multi-state tax obligations, payroll, financial reporting including project reports, leading an accounting team, and coordinating month-end with AP, AR, and inventory personnel.  Familiarity with Dynamics Great Plains or similar mid-size accounting software is a plus.  Being able to also manage our one-person IT department and budget would be appreciated, too!  Our controller maintains relationships with our bank, and also works closely with our outside accounting firm at year-end for reconciliation and tax preparation, so good communication skills are important!
