Job Description

Responsible for preparation of samples for analytical testing (involves aseptic sampling/pipetting)
Preparation and QC of buffers and reagents
Operation and maintenance of Cynvenio’s rare cell selection platform
Calibration and daily maintenance of instruments/machines
Manage and maintain required reagents, lab environment and equipment needed to carry out assigned duties
Physical testing/measurements/verification for raw material and in-process materials
Comply with all quality/safety policies and participate in maintenance and updating of all required SOP’s
Receive and prioritize daily assignments approved by management to ensure completion of assignment
Collaborate with other teams as requested to complete priority work as directed
Handle and dispose of bio hazardous material in accordance with regulations


Qualifications

Minimal Qualifications: 
BS or MS in Scientific discipline (Biological Sciences, Biology, Microbiology, Cell/Molecular/Immunology, Biochemistry)
Laboratory (industry preferred) experience with sample prep, cell culture, immunology, PCR, microscopy
Previous experience working in a GMP laboratory in a closely related industry
Instrumentation Experience and ability to utilize pipettes, micropipettes, and bench top equipment
Experience or comfort/ability to handle various chemicals/biohazard materials
Maintenance of specimen pre- and post-test storage
Able to efficiently handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while under pressure 
Able to maintain focus and concentration while performing highly detailed and repetitive tasks and assignments
Good communication & computer skills




Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience handling bio hazardous materials (blood specifically)
Commercial industry or clinical hands-on laboratory experience (especially wet lab techniques)
Dynamic, team-oriented personality that is organized, with attention to detail 
Able to work under pressure of deadlines, with expected overtime and weekend hours  

Other Preferred Attributes: 
Prefer candidates who would be able to quickly pick up the duties and are flexible to be able to transition between working groups if/when requested
Attitude and personality is key, being able to work independently and on a team is highly preferred
Candidates living commutable to Westlake Village preferred
