Job Description

As our Enterprise Data Architect, you will develop, standardize & operationalize an enterprise-wide data strategy to manage data quality and master data management to improve information governance, quality of analytics & SLAs around data-related requests.  

Role Snapshot

  1. Establish baseline enterprise data warehouse model 
  2. Map information entities and define data flows 
  3. Guide programs related to data standardization, data stewardship and master data management
  4. Enable customer success metrics across all product lines
  5. Build a strategic data architecture roadmap
  6. Document data inventory, data flow diagrams and measurability of data
  7. Communicate with many different company stakeholders to assess needs and goals
  8. Evaluate current data architecture and databases
  9. Plan end-to-end model for data consumption and analysis
  10. Code new data architecture, integrating existing database
  11. Use ETL/ELT best practices in the creation of the database
  12. Preserve a repository of all data architecture artifacts  
  13. Maintain security of the database, and create standards to ensure that the system is safe
  14. Monitor databases and report on effectiveness and accuracy, updating as needed
  15. Research and discover new methods to acquire data

Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in requirements analysis, data architecture and modelling, integrated database design, data security, performance tuning, back-up and recovery specifications
  • Experience in handling large data volumes, deep understanding of the data marts, data warehouse architecture, multidimensional databases, data lakes, and data migrate
  • Understanding of innovative data management constructs, such as logical data warehouse design
  • 7+ years’ experience in SQL and Oracle
  • Hands on experience working with AWS products (S3, Redshift, EC2, RDS, Aurora, Glacier), certifications recommended
  • Experience in defining Data standards, Data governance and lineage, and Data migration between data base technologies
  • Experience using ETL/ELT and other data related tools
  • Machine learning experience a plus
  • Experience working with Talend Data Integration a plus
