Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate to obtain experience performing a broad array of accounting functions in a professional services environment.  The Accounting Associate will be one of a seven member accounting team, reporting directly to the Controller with high visibility to the Vice President of Finance.    

- Participates in full-cycle accounting and month-end close process. 
- Responsible for full-cycle accounting on a number of client projects: tracking and accounting for all of the financial components of a project such as budgets, estimates, costs, billings, pass-through expenditures, revenue recognition, etc.
- Provides back-up support for accounts payable:  performs full-cycle accounts payable processing including data entry, research vendor inquiries, process employee travel expense reports and reimbursements, issuing checks and initiating wire and ACH payments.
- Provides back-up support for accounts receivable:  revenue recognition, creating invoices, interfacing with client services employees
- Assistance in writing the monthly management report
- Assist with the annual budget process
- Reconcile bank reconciliations on a timely basis, follow-up and resolution of all reconciling items each month
- Accounting for international subsidiary and certain domestic subsidiaries
- Assists in the preparation of annual tax filings
- Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Degree in Accounting required
- Can-do attitude and strong commitment to a high-level of customer service
- Prior professional accounting experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL and QuickBooks a plus
- Professional presentation with strong written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Aptitude for utilizing automated accounting systems
- Strong written and oral communications skills
